My name is Reyes González-Río Sopeña
Artist and Designer
I have studied art, design, painting and ceramics.
I have developed my professional career in different fields such as interior design, fashion, decoration, photography, visual merchandising, media press, art advisory… always connected by aesthetics and curiosity.
I have worked for firms such as Loewe, Becara, Hobb’s or Elle magazine, which I left after 17 fascinating years as Chief Photo Editor, before turning my career around and entering the art world with Christie’s Education.
In 2023, I borrowed the name Inés from my grandmother and aunts and placed it on the roofs of Madrid that I see from my window, where the company Ines on the Roof was born.
I have founded a brand with an artistic and decorative vocation, handmade and useful. A business model committed to simplicity. Focused on unleashing imagination and creative freedom. At a human scale, where it is possible to control the entire production chain, with responsible values and
Made in Spain.
What inspires us
We celebrate the good, beauty, natural balance, craftsmanship, literature, architecture, art, music, and travel.
We are inspired by the quiet beauty of nature, the shifting colors of light, the textures of landscapes, and the poetry of a slower pace of life found in small moments.
Seeing, hearing, smelling… letting the senses observe, admire, and capture stillness, only to translate it into our own visual language.
We love bringing warmth and life to everyday rituals and blending the charm of vintage aesthetics with the freshness of a contemporary voice.
Every design begins with a brushstroke and finds its way to a shared table or a bustling kitchen. Connecting with our surroundings means connecting with people. And we are delighted to fill your world with color.
How we do it
The original design is hand-painted using pencils and watercolor, photographed in high resolution, and printed on high-quality natural fabrics such as organic cotton, Habotai silk, or fine linen.
